Return to Yourself

When you've spent so long surviving, caring for others, questioning yourself, or simply trying to make it through each day, it can become difficult to remember who you are beneath it all.

Therapy offers a place to slow down, reconnect, and gently find your way back to yourself.

Counseling PLLC

Welcome and

Hello,

If you've found yourself here, you may have been looking for a therapist who feels like a good fit for a while. Possibly this is your first time seeking out therapy, or you've done this before. You may also be a fellow provider looking for a client you have in mind. I provide individual psychotherapy, helping people recover from difficult relationships, rebuild self-trust, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect with themselves using trauma-informed psychotherapy, nature, movement, and creative approaches.

My intention for my website is to create a storybook, with each page providing more information to help you decide whether to reach out. What my webpage does not convey is how I show up in person. This is why I value a 20-minute consultation to answer your questions and help you feel more at ease about whether we're a good working match to enter into a therapeutic relationship. You can think of the consultation as a 'vibe' check. I hope you take your time to look through my website to gather some of the information you are looking for.

I am Jennifer Ciccarelli, MSW, LSWAIC (#SC.70019535), the founder and therapist of Heartwood and Bloom Counseling. I am an associate therapist who is required to work directly under an independently licensed therapist for at least 3,000 hours over 3 years. I am under the supervision of Dania Y. Uritskiy, LICSW (#LW61143567), ensuring professional guidance and accountability.

My rate for a 55-minute session is $185. I accept all major credit and debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and online payments through Stripe. As an out-of-network provider, I can offer monthly superbills. However, I encourage you to check with your insurance first to understand your specific reimbursement process.

My office is located in Ballard, Seattle, and I offer in-person and telehealth individual therapy throughout the state of Washington.

If this resonates with you and your interested in finding out more information, you can schedule a free 20-minute consultation call by clicking the button bellow.

Why Heartwood and Bloom?

Magnolia Flowers

The heartwood is the strong, enduring center of a tree.

Hidden beneath the bark, it provides stability through changing seasons and weathers storms year after year.

To bloom, it is the unfolding that becomes possible when a tree is healthy enough to grow.

I believe healing follows a similar path.

Life experiences, including trauma, grief, emotionally harmful relationships, chronic stress, caregiving, illness, or major life transitions, can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves. We may begin to question our instincts, lose confidence in our own voice, or wonder where the person we once knew has gone.

I don't believe that person disappears.

I believe they are still there.

Therapy is about reconnecting with that steady center and creating the conditions that allow growth to happen naturally.

• You second-guess yourself long after conversations end.

• You feel responsible for everyone else's emotions.

• You struggle to identify what you need.

• You know you're exhausted, but slowing down feels uncomfortable.

• You often feel anxious, disconnected, or "on edge."

• You've been through relationships or experiences that left you doubting your own reality.

• You want more than symptom relief, you want to feel like yourself again.

If you see yourself here, you are not alone.

Healing doesn't require becoming someone different.

It begins by reconnecting with who you already are.

How We Can Work Together

Talk Therapy

Sometimes healing begins with simply having a place where your whole story is welcome.

Nature

Walking side by side outdoors can create space for reflection, movement, and nervous system regulation while remaining grounded in psychotherapy.

Creativity

Sometimes images, color, writing, or simple creative exercises help express experiences that words cannot quite reach.

Mind & Body

Healing often involves more than changing thoughts. It may also include learning to notice your body's signals, build a sense of safety, and reconnect with yourself through awareness, compassion, and practical skills.

A Personalized Approach

No two people heal in exactly the same way.

Rather than relying on a single therapy model, I thoughtfully integrate evidence-informed approaches based on your goals, your strengths, and your lived experience. My work is grounded in trauma-informed, relational psychotherapy and draws from cognitive, experiential, somatic, attachment-based, and mindfulness-informed approaches when appropriate.

Evidence-based practice means integrating the best available research with clinical expertise while honoring each person's values, preferences, and unique context.

Healing isn't about finding the perfect technique.

It's about finding an approach that helps you feel understood, safe enough to explore, and supported as you reconnect with yourself.

Why Nature?

Healing doesn't always happen sitting across from someone in an office.

Sometimes it begins with noticing the sunlight through the trees, the sound of trickling water, the smell of pine needles, and feeling your feet walk softly over the forest floor.

Nature offers a slower rhythm that can help us reconnect with ourselves and with the present moment. Walk-and-talk therapy combines evidence-based psychotherapy with movement and time outdoors when it feels like a good fit for you. It is not a replacement for psychotherapy but another way of engaging in it.

Begin Where You Are

You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy.

You only need a willingness to begin.

Whether you're navigating trauma, grief, difficult relationships, anxiety, identity questions, or feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy can offer a place to pause, reflect, and grow.
